Climbing
Alien Rock One is an indoor climbing centre situated in a disused church. There are masses of different roped climbs to try so you are sure to find something to suit your ability.
With their tall vaulted roofs, former churches have always provided excellent rock climbing facilities here in the UK, and Alien Rock is no exception. There are around 200 routes in Alien Rock covering over 800 square metres, ranging from overhanging lead climbs to slab top-rope routes. There is also a climbing shop on site, changing rooms and showers and a bouldering room.
Throughout the winter, Alien Rock hosts competitions and events, with prizes also awarded by raffle of your entry ticket.
Instructors are present throughout the day, and the wall meets the highest standards of climbing safety in the UK. Learning to climb is cheap, and necessary for use of this wall, and there are ample opportunities to make friends, who may belay you later!
