Description

After departing from Edinburgh your tour will travel past Stirling and its stunning hill-top castle. Your first stop is Doune Castle, a magnificent late 14th-century stronghold.  From there you will travel through the highland town of Callander to lovely Loch Lubnaig. Nestled between Ben Ledi and Ben Vane is where you’ll stop for morning refreshments. Head into the and continue on to Kilchurn Castle, which stands at the head of Loch Awe. Pause to take some photographs. Next, it’s onwards to Inveraray. You’ll have just under 2 hours here which is time to enjoy lunch and explore the town. You can choose to visit Inveraray Castle (limited dates, May to October 2021) or Inveraray Jail which was operational in the 19th century. Snap some photos at the ‘Rest and Be Thankful’, an iconic Scottish viewpoint before your last stop. Finish up at the charming highland village of Luss which sits on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. You’ll have time to walk around the village and take some photographs of the scenery. From there you’ll then make your way back to Edinburgh where your highland tour ends.
